Jean Claude holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) obtained from National University of Rwanda, Faculty of Law (2009). In 2014 Jean Claude was awarded a scholarship by Erik Bleumink Fund of the University Of Groningen to pursue his Master of Laws (LLM) in Criminal Law and Criminology at the University of Groningen/The Netherlands. In 2015 Jean Claude received another scholarship from the Austrian Development Agency to pursue a  Master Degree in Advanced International Studies at the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna which he finished in June 2017.

 

In March 2017, Jean Claude received also a grant from the US Department of State Jean to participate in the International Visitor Leadership Program on “Race and Social Justice” with a focus on African-Americans. Jean Claude is also a Practicing Lawyer in Rwanda (registered at Rwanda Bar Association since 2013. Prior to this, he was a practicing lawyer registered at the Corps de Défenseurs Judiciaires, since 2010). Furthermore, in February 2009, Jean Claude Rwibasira co-founded a Non-Governmental Organization called Inara Legal Aid Service (INALAS) which provides legal aid services to poor population and vulnerable people, victims of human rights abuses in Rwanda. He is the President/Director of this organization up to date.  In addition to this, he is working with Global Youth Connect as the GYC Program Coordinator in Rwanda since 2012.
