Alen is a Cincinnati native currently living in New York. A recent MBA/MPA graduate from the Tuck School of Business and the Harvard Kennedy School, he will soon transition into a new role as a consultant with the Bridgespan Group, a social impact consultancy.

A former Fulbright scholar in Tajikistan, Alen previously served as a high school math teacher and vice principal in Southeast Arkansas with Teach For America, and is a proud 2012 GYC Bosnia alumnus.

He currently serves as the executive director of Carry the Future, a non-profit organization that provides support to refugees and their families, and in his free time enjoys watching NBA basketball.
