Tamsen Bhachech
GYC Board Member

Tamsen is one of the original founding members of Global Youth Connect, was Chair of the Board of Directors from 1998 until 2008 and currently serves as the Treasurer and legal advisor. 

Tamsen works in the U.S. Program of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. After graduating from Mount Holyoke College with a major in political philosophy in 1996, she held various roles in both public and governmental organizations with a focus on conflict resolution and negotiation. In 2001, she attended Santa Clara Law School as a Law Faculty and Public Interest Fellow. She continued to pursue her interest in social justice by chairing the Women and Law Scholarship Banquet and working at the Northern California Innocence Project for several semesters, assisting in the successful exoneration of John Stoll. She has worked for Microsoft, and currently lives in Washington State with her husband and two boys.
